Nah - I'm more into FPS than anything else.

Counter Strike for the win!

No way!

Sure, UT has some merits, but UT is just unrealistic, and therefore CS is a better FPS in that way.

if you want realistic go get cod4
if you want fast game play, cool explosions, and lush maps try ut3
if you want a gay HUD and pansy Kevlar, with Arabs running around a warehouse try CS

Yeah - I'll go as far to say that CS is a good game.

But the UT series is better if you just want some fun (havent played UT3 yet though).

And if you want a somewhat more serious game - I'd go with CoD over CS. CS is ok for a while, but gets boring pretty quick.

Once my Net gets connected properly - I'll join you for a match.

Ha, sure. We usually game on a friday night, with bigger lans (where we actually get together and you know, kill people over the internet) interspersed.

"killing people over the internet" does not equal a LAN.

LAN = local area network.

Killing people over the internet = Not local.

It is possible that you come together to play games but still use internet servers - but that's splitting hairs.

Most of my gamming is done over a LAN. I have rarely played online at all. A little CS, and some TA.

I used to play the earlier Command and Conquer games as modem-to-modem with my mates. Good old days of Dial-up!

One of my mates had a bad habit of turning his modem off when he started losing and claiming the line dropped out.

When I get a steady internet connection going - I'll join you for a match. My net's fine - but my router keeps dropping the ethernet connections (that's LAN for those who dont know). Works fine with wireless - but only my laptop has wireless, not my gaming rig.
