Unread Topic Notifications

A piece of usefull critisicm.

Can we please have some more obvious 'unread reply' icons please. I hadnt even noticed they existed here - except I was looking more closely today (cause I'm getting sick of reading each thread to see which has new replies).

The threads with new replies have a slight pinkish tinge. The threads that you've read, are white.

The difference is very small - and unless I concentrate, I can't tell the difference.

Can we please have more obvious icons. Even a darker shade of pink would be fine.

I've also noticed that on the index page you can't see unread topics AT ALL.

If we are talking about the same page - you can, it's just a VERY small difference between the icons.

The very first page, right? index.php?

Or are you talking about the actual topic listings? The unread topics seem to have a green star instead of a blue one...

I have fixed.

Do they look alright, or do I have to turn down the opacity even more??

Yeah sorry - I was talking about index.php. I guess they are forums not threads - so sorry for being confusing.

I dont know if you changed anything there yet or not.

At the moment if a pink one is surrounded by white ones, it's not too hard to pick, but if its on its own, its hard to tell without something close by to compare with.

Havent really been paying attention to the stars, so I dont know about them.

Do a force refresh on the index.php - your browser might have cached the files, therefore not showing you the new ones.

See if they're any different.

Yep - I can see the orange shadows now (thanks for posting in the hardware forum, otherwise I wouldnt have had any unread forums).

It's a pretty horrible Photoshop job, but it does the trick...
